Our farm is on the NSW mid north coast inland from Port Macquarie, where rare breed heritage pork is raised ethically on pasture and seasonal vegetables are grown in the fields. Near River believes it is important for you to connect with the food you eat, and know the story about how it is produced and by whom, and to also be aware of the impact that the quality of the food that you eat has on your health, the health of society and the health of the environment.
You can find us at the Bondi Farmers Market each Saturday (the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th in September), the Pyrmont Growers Market on the fourth Saturday of the month (September 23rd), and at Market by the River in Ermington on the first Saturday of the month (7th of October). Alternatively, jump into our online shop and place an order which can either be delivered to your door or collected from our market stalls. Lastly, you are welcome here at the farm on Sundays, though call ahead to ensure we are here to meet you.
Throughout the year a number of unique farm events are held: Meals in the Fields and Breakfast in the Beds are pop-up dining experiences, while the fortnightly Sundays at Near River are more casual affairs. These enable you to come and enjoy Near River, perhaps participate in some farming activities, and see where and how your food is grown.
Near River is located in the pristine Hastings hinterland 45kms inland from Port Macquarie with a sealed road to the farm gate. You are welcome here most Sundays if you’d like to drop by and pick up some pork and vegetables from The Farmacy, though please call ahead ; 0412 995 256
