Due to the prevailing drought conditions, we have suspended our on farm events until such time as regular rain and river flow resumes.

Our farm events are unique paddock to plate experiences featuring produce grown in the fields you’re sitting in.

Meals in the Fields usually in March, and Breakfast in the Beds in October are not to be missed, as they allow you to meet the people who grow your food and see where and how it is grown.

Alternatively, you can come and participate in a mornings activities at the farm with Sundays at Near River, and then sit down to lunch garnered from our fields.

Some background

Why would anyone in their right mind hold a pop up event for 60 people in the front paddock?

It all started with Breakfast in the Bedsour first on farm event in 2012 that allowed us to open Near River to our community and have them enjoy a meal on the farm right next to where the food had been grown – truly authentic paddock to plate dining. Following it’s success, Eric Robinson from The Other Chef took up the challenge, and Meals in the Fields was born, an annual celebration of local, ethically raised produce from our farm and other artisan producers from region. Each year has built on the previous, and with all events selling out, the call has been heeded and Meals in the Fields is now held more often. You can view images and menus from past events here.
